Can anybody out there help me? I have a friend who has this vintage lucky cat and would like to know what the writing says. Is there anybody out there who can read it?
Have a great tea-filled day everyone.

Unless I'm mistaken they're both, more or less 'welcome'. That is, the first is 'Irasshaimase'(it's like the way a shop keeper greets someone) and the second 'oideyasu'.

Re: Japanese Lucky Cat Translation
Thank you John.
Yes, I do have a photo. I should have posted that too. Sorry.
My friend said it is vintage. I have no knowledge about such things, but I do really like it.
