I'm looking mostly at jingteashop and five star tea. I've seen mountain tea get mentioned but not very often. What is your favorite vendor specifically for wuyi oolongs?

Both EoT and 5Star sell reasonably priced samples so you can experiment and find which teas YOU prefer. I've got a batch of samples on the way from EoT, and I'm thinking of placing the same sort of order with 5Star.

Sea Dyke, Wuyi Star and Geow Yong. I guess they are my favorites because I consume lots of their tea.

Does anyone have experience with the half handmade teas from EOT? I know the best tactic is to sample but with 20 dollar shipping it's a bit daunting.

yes the only way is to buy some small quantity and try it out to see if it suit your taste. Many tea collector end up with crates of " junkyard tea" but that is the inevitable path of tea journey.

Have a great day my friend.

I trust Royal Mail so shipping on my order was only $8.75.

I love Yencha, esp. heavy roasted stuff. I just ordered from five star...a 2012 Rou Gui and a 2012 Shui Xian. It was 27 bucks for everything, shipping included, for 60 grams of tea.

I've had three or four yencha from TMTR and about 10 from EoT and about 5 from JTS...TMTR is by far and away the best in my opinion.
